Where can i find a church that will allow you to use your own pastor in akron, OH?

I am seeking for the church which will concede me to make use of my own priest to wed my fiance as well as we upon october 31st, 2009, In akron, OH.

    Google "chapels in [your city]" and see what comes up. Doesn’t your pastor have a church?

    With most churches, it will be up to the pastor AT that church if he/she will allow someone else to come in. All you can do is to call and ask.

    that’s up to each church. I’d say pick up the phone and start dialing, or find an alternative location.

    The only way you can do this is just to start calling around. When I was looking for a church I was using my own pastor as well. The church we attended was not big enough for all our guests to fit, so we had to go find another. When you talk to the person at the church, just explain to them you would like to rent their church, but you have your own pastor you would like to use. All the ones I looked at just wanted to make sure you were going to have premarital counseling and if you are, then they had no problems. When I found the church I wanted, they just asked for my church and pastor’s name so they could contact them to make sure we did have counseling and were not lying to them. Most churches don’t have a problem letting another pastor in. The only way I would think you would have an issue is if it’s catholic. But like I said, just start calling around and find the church that is best for your needs.

    That will be hard to do since being given the post as pastor of a church is a big thing. I would start by asking a church you or your fiance have an affiliation with. Then start asking friends and family for their help getting time with their pastors because having an inside contact will help more than just cold calling churches. Lastly, just as an FYI, a lot of churches have "hellstops" and other anti-halloween events on the night of 10/31, so that may also be another reason that you will get a lot of no answers, if their churches are like mine, hellstops can be pretty full with people and kids and there wouldnt be room for a wedding.
