What would be the cost to have a pastor marry you versus a wedding officiant? ?
Like the thought of being means to emanate the rite which you prefer, so seeking during the marriage officiant to control the wedding. With which being said, the the single you looked in to is over 0. What does the priest cost? Still watchful to listen to behind from the the single you have called.
Thanks everybody for your input. you live in Ontario, Canada. you theory you will have to wait for as well as see if the priest will perform the rite you would like. you used to attend the church as the child, though have given left in an additional citation (mixing faiths).
We have been not formulation upon carrying the church wedding, though instead out of doors with the accepting in the barn.
Thanks again for all your comments. you severely conclude it!

My son and daughter in-law belong to the same church, have been for years, her family longer and her Grandfather built the church. It cost them $300, for the pastor. My daughter had an officiant, same price $300. So it is up to you.

the officiant sets their own fee, but a pastor doesn’t have any fee from what I understand except you have to make a donation to the church, to reserve the date.

It depends on the place. A pastor doesn’t request you to pay them, but to make a specific gift to the church (usually $100-$200). If you are a member of the church, that might work the best, because you usually do not have to pay for the church.
If you use a wedding officiant, you pay them a fee, and then you have to pay for a place to get married.
May I suggest having a good friend or family member become ordained online? You probably won’t have to pay them, and then they can legally marry you and it will be a more personal wedding.
Good luck!

it depends on where you live, what you want them to create, the distance officiant has to travel, and sometimes, weekend’s are more than weekdays, and holidays even more. go to a website like web for weddings, eventective, or one of those and fill out a request and see what type of responses you get back

If you or your partner are NOT a member of a church YOU may or may not be permitted to marry in that church. There are many churches that will not permit NONmembers to get married in that church.
The fees for a member of the clergy (minister, priest or rabbi) can range in price from FREE to $1000. It all depends on if you (or your family) are a member of that house of worship and how long you have been a member.
The fees for a wedding officiant (judge, justice of the peace or nondenominational minister) can range in price from FREE to $1000. It all depends on where you live and what type of ceremony you are having. There is a big difference between getting married in the hallway of a Court House and a big formal wedding in the garden of a mansion.

I am paying $250 for our pastor (including the required counseling sessions but not including the fees for the church).
Officiants ranged from $250 to $600 when I checked them out.
Also, depending upon the pastor/church, some will let you structure the ceremony any way you like. Our pastor is very easygoing and has told us some of the things he has permitted to be done at marriages he officiates.
If you happen to be in Central PA, please feel free to e-mail me I’d be happy to give you the Church & Pastor’s name.
