I don’t know, but, once you’ve completed the process, will you have been pastorized?

(no disrespect intended, just couldn’t resist the bad pun; good luck with all your future endeavors)

    God will let you know.

GOOD FOR YOU- God will reward you for spreading His Gospel

If you are truly a Pastor, then it is a calling from God and not something that you chase or seek like a profession.
It is one of the spiritual gifts.
If God has called you, then he will lead you to the education that you need for the calling that he has in your life..

It took me only a weekend. I printed up all the documents myself. Got all the details online. Next I was thinking of making myself a saint. Or maybe a prophet.

Only problem is I’m an atheist, hope that doesn’t hurt my chances.

With a name like Buggaboo, you need to be a catholic priest!

first off, are you very smart

Well accredited seminaries can take up to 2-4 years. A normal work-load for a Master’s of Divinity includes 90 or so class hours. Even more for a Doctorate.
You can be ‘ordained’ by filling out forms online. It’s cheap and not really real. If you want good Biblical training, do some more research about bible colleges or seminaries.

  10. Hazbro Says:

Well that depends. Do you want to go an ACTS accredited seminary for an MDiv, be ordained by a specific denomination with rules, hierarchy, authority and oversight, and actually know what you’re doing and whether your preaching is nonsense or orthodox, or do you want to do what most evangelicals today seem to do and just get some other untrained idiots in a room to lay hands on you and say you’re ordained so you can immediately start preaching heresy and nonsense??

You can be an ordained minister of Atheism pretty quickly if you want. You have to give up irrational thoughts like god and jesus tough…

I don’t know but you have to know that a real christian pastor has to be a teacher like Jesus…
A christian Pastor is an holy work, yes it’s work as S.Paul the great said…

I don’t know if there is a common… christian place where christians become good pastors(I’m a catholic worker)

What kind of pastor? In what faith?
Our pastors have college and then seminary, but you can go on line and become a pastor. Are you willing to devote your life to being a minister, or are you looking for a summer activity? Your question is just a little bit different.

First of all…good for you and thank you for your willingness to sacrifice so much for God. Pastoring a church is NOt easy. While it is very rewarding…it is a LOT of work. But I think it is a great thing and very much worth it.

Now as for the time it takes? Well, that depends upon you and God.

You will need to finish your studies first and then most people spend time as an assistant pastor before actually pastoring a church on their own.

It is good to spend your summers "interning" around. It gives you the opportunity to scout out good churches for you. Or more to the point…allowing churches to check you out.

Spend much time in prayer…and let God lead you.

    God bless you.
