Not all Christians are fans of Hill$ong. Many of us consider Brian Houston and his cohorts to be exactly what you say they are, and their followers to be sadly deceived. They say they don’t know how this could have happened, but it is in just such an environment that where these things happen time and time again, and there is still no accountability.

On sin, you are clearly misinformed.

What are the characteristics of a wolf, 1, they like to dominate the flock, 2, they are aggressive if challenged, 3, they exploit the weak, 4, always controlling, 5, they use fear from the word of God out of context, and 6, they only focus on their views and interests.

What are the characteristics of a good Sheppard, 1, they care for the flock, 2, they allow the flock freedoms, 3, they protect the flock, 4, they search for the flock when a sheep is lost, 5, they feed and water the flock.

“The difference between him & most of the people accusing is … HE CAME CLEAN!!! I’m sure most of them have something they’re hiding. Look in the mirror before judging. Also, when you point a finger at someone, you have 3 pointing back at you.”

How about you stop accusing the victims and stop defending the wolf who fleeced the flock ! Or don’t you realize that this is exactly what you are doing ?

I just thought that I will make a quick comment, I was just talking about Michael’s situation, not whether or not we should forgive him. I have made special comment about this on my MySpace page under the title Talkscope under my alias Saint Joshua, feel free to sheck it out.

Regarding my comments about wolves in sheeps clothing, I was not referring to Michael but to those Pastors that are dictators. But concerning mega churches, if you are apart of one, take care people have been burnt.

  6. LeTHaL0x Says:

First thought, absolutely disgusting. But, everyone sins. He confessed and should be forgiven.

“you can take a horse to water but you can’t make it drink,”

The fact is those that were sucked in by the ploy are as much to blame as anyone else. Donate directly to charities, because i seriously would rather trust them over a church anyday, stop praying and do something because actions make this word a better place not words.

A person doesn’t need religion for ethics and morality, in fact more often it’s counter-productive. Philosophers from Plato, Socrates through to Onfray and Singer ask questions and provide a framework despite religion. One only has to look at the abuses by clerics and various other religious leaders throughout history to see that religion and the religious offer no moral leadership.

  9. GOLFERWOOD5 Says:

Before I go I want to say one thing, becareful of so called mega churches, they operate more like a business than a church, in fact, they are not Christian Churches or of the Christian body. These pastors have more in common with the Phariseee of Jesus time than true Christian believers. These places are Religious organisations, not Christian Churches. All under dictatorship, remember what Jesus said, ” Watch out for wolves in sheeps clothing.”

continued, A caring family would have gone with Guglielmucci to see the doctor, and they would have certainly gone with him to visit him in hospital, especially cancer. And why didn’t the Pastors that know him pick out that something was not right, don’t they hear from God, and why didn’t God say something, a lot pain would have been avoided here. Clearly these Pastors don’t here from God, this is proven evidence. Don’t trust these Pastors, they are living in a wonderland.

  11. GOLFERWOOD5 Says:

The entire Guglielmucci scandal was lies covered by lies, if Guglielmucci really had cancer and his family believed he, why didn’t his family sense something wrong when they can’t smell chemicals after Chemo therapy. After someone has Chemo you can smell the chemicals on them. And their family not going in with him to see the doctor, how stupid can anyone be. And Guglielmucci claimed he was in hospital, why didn’t anyone go into visit him. continued.

Let us all confess n be free,GODBLESS!!!

  14. Wilkins777 Says:

But the Bible also states that if a brother of Christ is in sin, then we (the Christians) need to pull him up and remind him of his sin, and if he doesn’t, then get out of the Church.

I don’t mean to gloat, as it was such a sad thing, I was at the Brisbane conference of Planetshakers, when this news came out that he had cancer, I knew that he was lying. Many of the youth in my youth group told me to shut up and i was lying. I was right, unfortunately :(

    It’s sad

Like any scam, the hard work is usually already done. Not only do these comments offer evidence for the cognitive detriment inherent in the superstitious mindset, it’s clear supporters are Hillsong prisoners who now seek to justify their own demonstrably fallacious view of reality. He’s a pervert, a cheat and a liar. His boss is a con artist, thief and a liar. They believe in money. Sin? No idea what that is, but understand it’s the concept used to avoid taking responsibility for ones actions.

  17. vaughnirv Says:

Look up the etymology of the word “sin” european government polluted CHRISTianity thousands of years ago. This is why we need to study for ourselves, because it makes people responsible for their own faith not religion. Yes we need and use mentors, all of the saints and holy people throughout CHRISTian history have a story. Check CHRISTian history before europe and see what you come up with. Let this man live and truly be healed. I’m sure the song has more meaning now than it did before

The song is incredible and I’m sure it’s helped thousands increase their faith. I’m sure a story of redemption will come from this. This is what happens when people believe in “church” instead of GOD GODSelf

I love how biased this news report is… we’ve all sinned, no doubt; don’t judge him unless you too would like to be judged.

  21. nelo4real Says:

We humans are so good at judging others, it makes us feel better about ourselves. We find it hard to accept the fact that to err is human….we sin because we are human, there is nothing evil that a man can not do, However, a contrite heart God will never turn way. We all suffer for the consequences of our sins, but Jesus paid the price, so whether we mock about or judge….it doesn’t change the fact that God will forgive.

  22. petephiljohn Says:

It’s OK to feel sorry for the guy on a human level.

It is a reflection on religion in its ‘cultish’ form though in that he’s had his moral sense confused to such an extent that he equates the ‘sin’ of liking porn (which doesn’t really hurt anyone else) to perpetrating a deception which affects many people. Mike talks as though he still believes that it is this so-called ‘double life’ as a porn consumer which is the real problem.

  23. JesusSuckedGayPenis Says:

Whats the difference between the abridged version of the bible and the complete and full-length version?

The complete bible takes longer to burn.
