As long as her parents have consented to the marriage and you have a valid marriage license, a pastor and perform the marriage. Whether he/she is WILLING to do so is another story.

If the parents say so, then I think so.

Since you’re legal, and she has parental consent he should be able to. If you still have doubts, go to your pastor and ask him.

As long as her parents have consented there is no reason why he could not marry you.

I don’t know what state you live in, but I’m pretty sure the couple is required to apply for their own marriage license. This means you AND your fiance AND, because she’s underage, her parents have to go to the courthouse and fill out the application and sign all the requisite forms.

Your pastor will sign the marriage license to prove that the ceremony took place and you are legally married, but I would bet a large amount of money that he is not legally able to obtain the license for you.

You need to call him, and your county courthouse, and make sure you have your facts straight.

I would also suggest that you and fiancee go to college before getting married.

where do you live that your pastor is allowed to pay for and acquire your license for you? I’m not aware of any state that allows that.

The couple who wants to marry has to go into the court’s offices and apply for their own license. Only the county or city is allowed to issue the license (it’s a tax. your pastor is not allowed to levy or collect taxes) and only the people who want to get married are allowed to get their license. No one else is allowed to go in and get the license for you.

you then take your license to either a justice of the peace or the appropriate clergy person of your choice to sign and file the license. a ceremony doesn’t even need to be performed. All the JOP or clergy person has to do is sign the license along with 2 witnesses who are not the couple and then file the license and you’re married.

If you and/or your fiancee is under aged then you will need to prove that you have parental permission to marry when you get your license. which means the parent(s) of the underage person need to go with you to get the license. once you have legally acquired your license then your pastor can marry you. As to whether or not he will, you’ll have to discuss that with him. Clergy people are allowed to refuse to perform marriage ceremonies whether or not you are legally able to marry.
