True about the American Idol thing. Any band that puts something out today is totally packaged and processed. This video is great. I like this song from Animositisomnia and knew it was a cover, but I didn’t know that Ministry had been covering it for so long. I love the start when the drums are going and the song it is getting ready to start, there’s what looks like random people walking around the stage
Yeah, and whats even worse is how they seem completely oblivious to things that are much better in taste. Looks like fashion (emo) and corporate-accountants are more in control than ever before!
That’s not true…this was the Animositisomina tour in…2002? They did “We Believe” in one of the encores. This was at the Phoenix show. At least, I THINK it was “We Believe”…could have been “Just Like You”.
And yes, my jaw dropped because I had never seen them play anything from Twitch. They always play Stigmata though, and I’ve seen a few other TLORAH songs over the past 10 or so years.
Do you remember which tour you attended or the year of the concert? Ministry didn’t officially incorporate any material from “Twitch” into their setlists since 1988′s “The Land of Rape and Honey Tour”.
I consider “Twitch” and “The Land of Rape and Honey” to be such musical rarities in Ministry’s discography. I wish I could have attended the tours for those respective releases (mid-to-late 80s), but alas, I wasn’t even born then!
Great,,, I wonder why it took them another 12+ years to put it on an album.
Funny thing is, I saw them a few years back and they did this right after playing something from Twitch. Talk about a flashback…the metalheads in the room didn’t know what to make of it.
yeah that dead souls was just fucking awesome, it did’nt sound just like a nin song, real angry and slow, then hard.
OH MY GOODNESS I almost forgot about the embarrassing adam ant being his co-pilot and having him on stage, I’m guessing “stand and deliver” is Reznors fav song by him….
Yet Skinny Puppy made an album with Throbbing Gristle.
I do aplogize for being so uniformed.
He covered Joy Division’s Dead Souls which he did an amazing job on and he covered Adam Ant, Queen and The Normal’s Warm Leatherette. You should research before you make any accusation, you fucking dumb asshole!

I was really impressed with this cover the first time I heard it. Magazine were so fucking innovative, and this version is very close to the original.

Jeff Ward has, sadly, passed away. But Bill Rieflin has been REM’s drummer for the last 10 years.
