If it hadn’t been for the ministry of John the Baptist wouldn’t Jesus have been a total flop?
Jesus fundamentally stole JTB’s followers/ministry as well as claimed it for himself

John did all the prep work and Paul did all the heavy lifting in terms of founding a church and spreading it. Jesus was fairly incidental in terms of actually founding the faith that developed around him.

No it isn’t that way. John gave his Ministry over to Jesus, and it was foretold that John would proceed Jesus.
