I have a friend who started something similar in Charlotte, N. C. She bought some gas two burner hot plates and put two sawhorses and a piece of plywood in her truck; along with a cooler of milk and orange juice and coffee in thermoses. She cooked eggs and ham in an empty lot on a corner in the ‘worst’ part of town. The homeless came out in ‘droves’. While they ate, she witnessed to them about the Love of Jesus Christ. The ministry grew and churches started bringing vans to pick up whoever wanted to go to church. Some churches began to support financially and offer music groups. It became quite an outreach. People donated warm blankets and clothing, etc. I helped and saw many who were saved and changed and were helped to get identification and jobs and then came back to help with the ministry. It was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.

maybe gather up a lot of food (this is what a church does in Sacramento and we go) (you have to get a lot of food cause they can get whatever they want how much they want it) so you feed them after your done feeding them (when there all done) than you go out and talk them about Jesus

    Buy them a house!
Anything else is a complete waste of time!

    One tip.

    Beware your city government.

Here they are fining the homeless shelter, blocking the
distribution of food to the homeless by law, and that’s
    just for starters.

If you want to help the homeless,
better find out what your city is up to lately.

Make a batch of sandwiches and hand them out.

I remember when neighbors helped people with their rent and made sure they never were on the streets. With housing being so cheap by some of the foreclosed homes or apartment buildings and give them a permanent place to stay and feed them.

It is illegal to help the homeless in some places, like Nevada, they are harrassed, locked up, tent cities torn down and parks closed. They wonder why there is a recession.

i think its really nice that you want to help homeless people, i want to help them too :) but you need to be carefull because sometimes when you give them money they waste it on things like achohal and stuff so i think if your gonna do that then you should give the money to a shelter that helps homeless people or offer the people to buy them some food :) good luck
